Aimee Coveney: Chanel AW15 Ready-to-Wear

Chanel fashion shows are always my favourite because there is always such a strong theme that runs throughout the collections. The show was held at the Grand Palais de Paris. I love the Parisian Brasserie theme to this collection. To me this collection really epitomises the Parisian style and fashion. The collection consisted of; tartan, check prints, tweed, ruffles, lace, chiffon, statement jewellery, strong silhouettes, bow tie detailing, military style button detailing, quilted/padded jackets, baby doll dresses, monochrome, nylon bomber jackets, pearls, chevron print knits, box clutch bags, nude block colour toe capped sling back heels, wool coats and strong high neck collars. The hair was slicked and side parted and finished off with ribbon headbands that add a twist of the 60's. Lastly the make-up was very bold and heavy on the eyes with thick black eye-liner and smoky eye-shadow, but kept natural on the rest of the face.
