Aimee Coveney: Versace AW15 Ready-to-Wear

The inspiration for the collection was taken from the digital world. This was incorporated with symbolism such as; emojis, emoticons, hashtags, alphabet letters and @ signs. Donatella wanted to represent "Dare" within this collection. "Dare to be bold, dare to be audacious and dare to share". The collection gave off a retro and rock glam vibe. I love the lipstick red perspex runway the models strutted down. The colour scheme for the collection was primary colours; reds, blues, greens, yellows, black and white. The collection was made up of; coats, patent leather thigh-high boots, capes, thigh-splits, suede, cut-outs, floor-length gowns, quirky sunglasses, embellishments, bold block colours, quilted bomber jackets, fur, asymmetric skirts, Greek key prints, crystal encrusted symbols, chunky statement square-buckled belts, gloves and mini dresses. The make-up was kept subtle but then dark and piercing on the eyes. Here are some of my favourite outfits from the collection.
